Steve Wood, Founder and Chairman

Steve Wood has been associated with emerging technology for the majority of his career, with broad experience in personal computers telecommunications, information services and personal communications. In 1996 Wood co-founded Wireless Services Corporation (now SinglePoint) and led as President and CEO until 2004.

Since earning a BS degree in computer engineering from Case Western Reserve and an MSEE from Stanford, Wood has held strategic leadership positions at many of the industry's leading companies, including Microsoft (he was the company's sixth employee), Asymetrix, Starwave Corporation, Interval Research, McCaw Cellular and Notable Technologies. He currently serves on the board of directors of Geospiza, a Seattle-based provider of software and services for genetic analysis; is a board member of Cdigix, the leading provider of digital media services for college students; and is vice-chairman of the Washington Technology Industry Association, the country's largest state technology trade association.

Rich Begert, Board Member

Rich Begert has been involved with the wireless industry since its infancy. He launched two of the industry's most influential initiatives: the first wireless data network in the U.S. (CDPD) and AT&T's Digital One rate, which dramatically increased wireless usage by eliminating roaming charges.

Rich joined McCaw Cellular Communications in 1986 in a marketing position and rose quickly through the organization, first to general manager and later to regional president of the western United States for AT&T Wireless, a role he maintained until his departure in 1998.

As president and CEO of ImageX, Rich led the company from private funding to its initial public offering in 1999. Under his leadership, the company completed five acquisitions, and Rich negotiated the company's acquisition by Kinko's, which was acquired by FedEx six months later. Before his tenure at McCaw Cellular, Rich spent nine years at Xerox in various sales and sales management positions.

Rich is a 1978 graduate from the University of Washington with a BA in business administration with a marketing emphasis. He currently resides on both the board of trustees and the foundation board for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Families Northwest.

Gowri Shankar, President and CEO

Throughout his lifelong career in telecommunications, Gowri Shankar has focused on bringing new technologies to market and building multimillion-dollar sales organizations.

As a founding member of the Sprint PCS launch team, Gowri led the creation of the first nationwide telesales and e-commerce distribution channels in the wireless industry, thereby laying the foundation for Sprint PCS's industry-leading enterprise sales strategy.

In addition to his work with Sprint, Gowri was general manager for eAssist, a CRM software company. There, he developed eAssist's international strategy and was responsible for the organization's expansion into nine European countries.

Gowri holds a BS degree in accounting from the University of Madras and an MBA from the University of Missouri.

Dayakar Puskoor, Strategic Advisor

Dayakar's distinguished career is showcased by an impressive record of achievement in building high-value mobile, wireless and telecommunications businesses. He is also an advisor to several technology companies and Chairman for both M2Junction and Global Outlook. Dayakar is recognized as a mobile technology expert and has been a key note speaker and panel member at numerous industry events. Previously, he was an executive at Microsoft where his responsibilities included the incubation, development and management of new mobility solutions in addition to overseeing Microsoft's $350 million hosting business.

Prior to Microsoft, Dayakar was founder and CEO of JP Mobile, Dayakar pioneered the industry's first mobile software solutions company that developed several award winning products. He secured $55 million in financing and successfully completed the company's acquisition by Good Technology/Motorola. He has been actively involved with The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) in Dallas since 1999. Dayakar is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University and earned a master's degree in computer science from Nova University.

Adrian Smith, Board Member

Adrian is a principal at Ignition Partners, a venture capital firm dedicated to helping the best entrepreneurs seize opportunity. Adrian invests in telecommunications and wireless companies and represents Ignition as a board member of SinglePoint

Prior to Ignition, Adrian spent 12 years in leading technology roles at Nextlink, AT&T Wireless, McCaw Cellular Communication and British Telecom Research Laboratories. Adrian's responsibilities have included the radio architecture and evolution of the LMDS broadband fixed wireless technology, the browser transport mechanism for integrated cellular voice and data solutions and the TDMA air interface design and specification.

Steve Hooper, Board Observer

Steve is a founding partner of Ignition Partners. Steve invests in telecommunications and wireless companies and represents Ignition as a board observer of SinglePoint.

Prior to Ignition, Steve worked closely with Craig McCaw for 18 years and was CEO of every major McCaw Company except Nextel. Most recently, Steve was the Chairman and CEO of Nextlink Communications (now XO Communications), where he was responsible for repositioning the company to a true Integrated Communications Provider offering a full complement of voice and data services.

Prior to NextLink, Steve served as the co-CEO of Teledesic with Craig McCaw. In that capacity, he oversaw the operation of the company and the negotiation of the multi-billion dollar satellite contract with Motorola.

From 1994 to 1997, Steve served a CEO of AT&T Wireless. As President and CEO of AT&T Wireless, Steve grew the company from $1.8 billion sales to $4 billion. As CEO, Steve bought LIN Broadcasting for $3.5 billion; expanded AT&T's footprint via the PCS auctions; built national GSM networks in India, Hong Kong and Taiwan; worked with Nokia to build the cornerstone of AT&T's "Digital One Rate" offering; deployed the first nationwide packet-based data network; and launched the first nationwide digital air-to-ground network, achieving 40% market share

Tom Huseby, Board Member

In 1997 Tom formed SeaPoint Ventures which invests in early stage communications companies in the wireless, broadband and network transactional infrastructure sectors. He is currently a managing director at SeaPoint and serves as a member of SinglePoints board of directors.

Prior to forming SeaPoint Ventures, Tom co-founded and was the first CEO of Metawave Communications Corporation, a manufacturer of cellular infrastructure equipment. Before Metawave, he was the first president and CEO of Innova Corporation, a manufacturer of digital millimeter wave radios. Tom spent the first seventeen years of his career at Raychem Corporation where he held a variety of executive positions in Europe, South America and the U.S. His last position at Raychem was Group Vice President of the Industrial Products Group.

After a successful career as an executive, building international operations for a multi-billion dollar corporation, Tom continued his company building, leadership role as an entrepreneur, which included CEO positions in two wireless infrastructure companies. Tom is well known for his strategic insights and successful approach to business challenges. Tom's experience building companies and investing in technology gives him an unparalleled perspective. His knowledge is frequently sought as a board member, advisor and industry expert.

Tom Alberg, Board Member

Tom is a managing director of Madrona Venture Group, a leading venture capital investor focused on the information technology economy in the Pacific Northwest. Tom is member of SinglePoint's board of directors.

Prior to co-founding Madrona Venture Group in 1995, Tom served as President of LIN Broadcasting Corporation and Executive Vice President of McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc. Tom currently serves as a director for Madrona portfolio companies, including Impinj, Wireless Services, and Mercent. In addition, he serves on the boards of two public technology companies (Advanced Digital Information Corporation and Amazon.com).

Tom Simpson, Board Observer

Tom Simpson has over 22 years of experience as an investment banker, a venture capitalist and an angel investor. Prior to forming NWVA, he was a Managing Director in Dain Bosworth's Seattle-based investment banking group and managed public offerings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions for multiple companies in the region. He began his career as a CPA for Deloitte, Haskins + Sells. Tom serves on the Board of the Technology Alliance of Washington and the Advisory Board for the University of Washington Business School. Tom has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Washington and a master's degree in business administration from The Wharton School.

Dennis Weibling, Board Member

Dennis is managing director of Rally Capital. Rally Capital was formed in early 2005 with a focus on investing in telecommunications companies. Bringing decades of strategic industry experience and relationships, Rally invests in companies with innovative approaches to meet the needs of their customers and service organizations. Dennis serves as a member of SinglePoint's Board of Directors.

Prior to Rally Capital, Dennis was director of Nextel Partners and a member of the operations, audit, finance and compensation committees. He was elected to the board as the designee of Eagle River Investments, an investment-management firm. Dennis also served as president of Eagle River Investments from October 1993 to December 2001 and was the vice chairman from 2002 to 2003. He also was CEO and a member of the board of Teledesic, a satellite telecommunications company.

Bhavanipratap Rana, Board Observer

Bhavani joined Intel Capital in 2000. Prior to joining Intel Capital, he worked with ASG-Omni, an early stage incubation firm focused on technology investments in India. Prior to that, he worked with Arthur Andersen advising clients in the telecom and power sectors in India. Bhavani is an observer at Dexterra, Mformation, PGP Corporation, Singlepoint. His investments include Speakeasy (acquired by Best Buy), Clearwire (NASD:CLWR), Deccanet Designs (acquired by Flextronics).
